RIB fabric is formed by a weaving technique which creates a raised surface of lines on the fabric. Our RIB fabric is made from Organic cotton, which makes it more sustainable. Organic cotton is grown without the use of harmful pesticides and chemicals. This protects the earth from pollution and is also good for us because organic cotton is hypoallergenic, which means it is suitable for people with sensitive skin as it is free from any kind of chemical contamination. Additionally organic cotton has a soft touch feel and has amazing breathability which is especially needed in hot summer months. RIB fabric in general has a flexible structure due to its knitting and rope pattern.The fabric is constructed on a powerloom which gives it a uniform and structured look. RIB fabric is soft, cozy and very comfortable to wear. The knitting structure of the fabric makes it stretchable and comfortable. The alternating high and low knit pattern makes the fabric elastic and hence this kind of fabric gives you a perfect fit without clinging to the body. It is a medium to heavy-weight fabric and hence can be used to create a variety of garments. It is a good base material to construct kids wear and other knitwear garments like sweatshirts, dresses, skirts as well as active wear garments.
